Using the Apps

Many social networking platforms allow you to collect their content around hashtags, a single word or phrase preceded by the pound or ‘hash’ symbol. For “Gaming the System” at CLT, we are using #CLTODU15.

Tweeting

Tweet out a message. Do that now by tapping or clicking on the inkquill button. Be sure to include the hashtag in it your new tweet, too!

Vining

Tap on the camera icon on the bottom menu to start recording a short video of yourself or another person. When done, tap on the “Add a caption” area to type up a description, mention someone by username, and include the hashtag!

Instagramming

Tap on the camera icon on the bottom menu to take a picture. When you are done editing, tap on “Write a caption…” and include within the description out hashtag.

Facebooking

Visit facebook.com/gtsodu to post your descriptions and photos with our hashtag.

Tumblr

Tap on the Pencil button to start a new post. Select from the options what type the post will be and, within the description or text of the post, be sure to include the hashtag somewhere!

Fotobabbling (iOS only)

Take or select a picture and record some audio to go along with it. When done, tap on “Share” to write a description and add the hashtag.
(Be sure to post to Twitter or Facebook to get counted!)

SoundCloud (Android only)

From the top-right drop-down menu, tap on “Record” and then the recording button to start or pause on the next screen. Tap “Next” to continue when finished editing. Fill out the “What”, select “Public” and, using either Facebook, Twitter, or Tumblr, post the audio with the hashtag.
